The Brooklyn School is pleased to announce its upcoming Open House schedule: Monday Jan 14th @ 6:30pm and Sunday Jan 20th @ 3:30pm.

The Brooklyn Waldorf School's Open House will begin with an introduction to the school, followed by a general discussion about our educational philosophy - Waldorf education. Prospective parents will have the opportunity to ask questions of teachers, parents and Waldorf alumni.

For the 2008-2009 school year, the Brooklyn School will offer the following programs:

Parent Child Program (ages 18months-3 years)
A weekly one and one-half hour program designed to introduce parents and children to our educational environment.

Bridge Program (ages 2.5-3.5 years)
A biweekly 2.5 hour program for children who are ready for a more intense PC experience but who aren't quite ready to enter nursery, a class that works towards separation when a child is ready to be on their own.

Nursery (ages 3-4.5)
A pre-K program nurturing the creative spirit and social nature of the young child.

Kindergarten ages (4.5- first grade ready)
A foundation for elementary education using structured activities and creative play.

First, Second and Third Grade
The beginning of a broad-ranging academic curriculum that nurtures the abilities and aptitudes of children through language arts, math, science, two foreign languages, movement, art and music.

Though we strongly encourage you to attend the whole session, we of course welcome you at any time. Adults and babies in arms only please.
